Swedish Massage
During a Swedish massage the massage therapist uses long smooth strokes, kneading and circular movements on the superficial layers of muscle using massage oil, lotion or cream. Using light to moderate pressure, the focus is on increasing circulation and promoting relaxation. Swedish massage sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes long and the massage therapist will usually treat the full body.
